Homes disappear under lava of the Cumbre Vieja volcano on La Palma

The roar of the Cumbre Vieja volcano on La Palma can be heard for miles as lava destroys and buries homes on the island, leaving thousands devastated.

Scientists on the Canary Islands are concerned that a volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma could keep on erupting until December.

Sky’s Ashna Hurynag reports from a refuge centre on the island.
