Residents stranded as La Palma volcano becomes more volatile

Ferry tickets disappear as quickly as homes on the Spanish island of La Palma as residents desperately try to escape the volcano’s volatile activity.

Three more towns were evacuated and firefighters were forced to retreat as the volcano reached what’s been described as an explosive new phase. Scientists warn the eruption could continue until December.
