Nick Pope examined UFOs in the 1990s for the UK military before the unit was disbanded.
He told Sky the US was treating UFOs as a “national security issue” and MPs in the UK should pressurise the government to do the same.
His warning came after a congressional hearing in the US on Wednesday heard testimony from intelligence and military whistleblowers who claimed America had retrieved alien spacecraft and “non-human biologic” pilots.
