Deadly blast at Thai fireworks warehouse kills at least nine

An explosion at a fireworks warehouse in southern Thailand has killed at least nine people and injured at least 115, according to the governor of Narathiwat province.

It is thought that flares from metal welding caused the fireworks stored inside the warehouse to catch fire and then explode.
