Ukraine crisis: Low hopes in border town for diplomatic breakthrough

Ukrainian people living in towns on the eastern border with Russia have seen their region become littered with the scars of fighting since 2014 – with many now staying in their homes because of fears of an invasion.

Army trucks and armoured vehicles crunch through the snow and ice-covered roads where people are still holding out, even though the frontlines are just a short distance away.
