Sudan: ‘Volatile’ situation in Khartoum as 120 British troops arrive at airfield – Defence Sec

Asked about British evacuation efforts in Sudan, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said there are about 120 British military personnel based at the airfield near the capital Khartoum to assist with the evacuation.

When asked by the chair of the Defence Committee Tobias Ellwood how quickly the UK could begin evacuating more UK nationals and their family members, Mr Wallace said this will happen “if and when the Germans leave”.
