Louis and Charlotte shine in newly-released behind the scenes coronation day footage

The Prince and Princess of Wales have released behind the scenes footage from the day of the King’s coronation.

In a five-minute film published on their official YouTube channel, viewers get a glimpse of the Wales family getting ready for last weekend’s events.

The clip starts with a montage of the Royal Family meeting foreign dignitaries at Buckingham Palace and supporters camped out on the Mall the evening before the coronation.

Royal fans then get to see Prince Louis, five, and Princess Charlotte, eight, preparing to leave home at Kensington Palace on the morning of the service.

Prince William and his wife are also seen in their coronation robes before a black car pulls up to take them to Westminster Abbey.

There is footage from Windsor on Sunday, where the royal children, including Prince George, nine, are seen taking part in Scouts activities before heading to the royal box for the coronation concert.

The Prince of Wales is captured rehearsing for his speech, in which he said expressed his whole family’s “pride” in the King.

The family are then seen climbing the stairs to take their seats for the coronation concert where Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Take That performed in front of 20,000 spectators.

Videographer also produced anniversary clip

It was produced by videographer William Warr, who also filmed a video to mark their 10th wedding anniversary in 2021.

Based in Brixton in south London, he works mainly in advertising, having produced clips for Tesco and Uber Eats.

He posted on Instagram: “An honour and a privilege to have been asked to capture behind the scenes at the King’s Coronation last weekend for @princeandprincessofwales.

“A rare and exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the celebrations and to be a part of this historic weekend.”

Pictures used in the film were taken by royal and environmental photographer Matt Porteous.

The coronation was watched by 20 million people on TV, with 10.1 tuning in the following day for the coronation concert.
