Sunak’s new net zero policy: Are the Tories turning a lighter shade of green?

The reaction – to a move by Rishi Sunak to delay the government’s green policies – has been mixed to say the least, with opposition parties criticising the prime minister’s leadership as “weak” and the decision “damaging” for the climate. 

As net zero sceptics cheered there was criticism from some in the car industry and the more environmentally minded Conservative politicians.
