Historian claims ‘only 38 minutes’ of Ridley Scott’s Napoleon movie is accurate

Historian Andrew Roberts has said only “38 minutes” of Ridley Scott’s new movie Napoleon is accurate.

Asked how much of the film is a true depiction of real events, Mr Roberts told Trevor Phillips: “Of the two hours and 38 minutes, I would say 38 minutes.”

“These are meant to be entertainment, they are not documentaries,” he added. “You’re not expected to have everything absolutely accurate.”
